Mission Statement:
To promote excellence in
teaching and learning in undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing
medical education at the School of Medicine of the University of Zambia
and the Country as a whole
Goals:
Education:
Monitor and improve undergraduate and postgraduate education. Support
innovation and quality assurance in medical education.
Research:
Generate new knowledge in medical education, engage in collaborative
research. Source external funding for research.
Service
and consultation: Develop
and strengthen linkages between the DMED and the other School departments
and committees. Respond to medical education needs of the country and
provide consultancy services to other health training institutions.
